We just got our delivery of the limited production, 2006 Petite Sirah in our Coastal Vines line, exclusively at Stevenswood.
This is a big red wine, with rich and intense flavor, but not over-powering in the sense of some Petite Sirahs.
The grape variety, also know as Durif, is nicely represented in this bottle of 06.
With a nice dense blackberry tone, notes of the traditional black pepper and a color that is the deep garnet red often characteristic of this wine.
